As Disney’s new live-action Lilo & Stitch film breaks box office records, fans are once again embracing the aloha spirit—and brands are quickly following suit. From collectible Stitch-themed Spam cans to the tropical-inspired ‘Ohana Breeze Smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Hawaiian flavors are enjoying a major moment. Now, King’s Hawaiian is joining the wave with a unique new release.
The popular bakery brand has unveiled its first-ever Hawaiian Sweet Ube Coconut Rolls, a limited-edition twist on its signature sweet rolls. The new product combines real ube—a purple yam prized in Filipino cuisine for its sweet, custard-like flavor—with creamy coconut, creating a soft, nutty, and rich bread with island flair.
Baked in small batches to maintain high quality, the 12-count packs will be available exclusively online for $7.99 starting at 12 p.m. EST on June 2. Customers can purchase up to two packs, and using the code “SHIPUBECOCONUT” at checkout unlocks free shipping.
Due to limited supply, fans hoping to score a pack will need to act fast. Once sold out, the special edition rolls won’t be restocked.
While the rolls are perfect for eating straight from the package, they also offer creative possibilities—from ube-coconut French toast and cinnamon rolls to bread puddings and stuffed desserts.
King’s Hawaiian’s latest launch celebrates the ongoing cultural buzz around Hawaiian flavors and nostalgia, tying together food, fun, and fandom in a tasty tribute to island tradition.
