What to Cook for Christmas Lunch

Christmas lunch is a special occasion that brings family and friends together to celebrate the festive season. Crafting a memorable Christmas lunch involves careful planning and a mix of traditional and innovative dishes that can satisfy all palates. This guide will provide you with a variety of ideas and recipes to create a delicious and festive Christmas lunch.

Appetizers

1. Classic Shrimp Cocktail

A shrimp cocktail is a classic and elegant appetizer that is sure to please your guests. It’s simple to prepare and can be served chilled, making it a perfect starter.

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 cup cocktail sauce

  • 1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 4 garlic cloves
