Philadelphia cream cheese is teaming up with Mediterranean ingredient producer Divina to introduce a new twist on a classic cocktail garnish. Their limited-edition creation, called “Philly-tini Olives,” features olives stuffed with Philadelphia cream cheese as a creamy alternative to the traditional blue cheese-stuffed olives used in dirty martinis.
This collaboration aims to appeal to cocktail lovers who find blue cheese too strong or divisive. The cream cheese-stuffed olives offer a milder, smoother flavor while still delivering the savory, briny bite that complements the punch of a dirty martini. They can be enjoyed on their own as a snack or used to replace blue cheese-stuffed olives in the cocktail.
“Just because someone doesn’t like blue cheese, doesn’t mean they should have to miss out on enjoying a dirty martini,” said Kelli Srivastava, senior brand manager for Philadelphia cream cheese. “Philly-tini Olives are here to shake up dirty martinis this summer, giving a new and unexpected creamy twist to a classic happy hour combo.”
Brandon Gross, Senior Vice President of Brand at Divina, added, “This playful twist brings together our bold Greek olives with Philadelphia’s signature cream cheese. It’s a flavor combo that will satisfy both cocktail purists and recipe rebels just in time for summer.”
Philly-tini Olives are not yet widely available in stores or bars. They can be purchased online in two-packs for $15, starting June 10, while supplies last.
