Dunkin’ is taking its iconic coffee to new heights with a fresh twist on its nearly two-decade-long partnership with JetBlue. On Monday, the popular coffee chain revealed that it will now be featured on a specially designed JetBlue aircraft in celebration of the collaboration’s 20th anniversary.
Dunkin’ fans might recall that Dunkin’s Original Blend was first introduced to JetBlue’s in-flight menu almost 20 years ago. In 2011, it became the exclusive coffee provider for the airline. Now, the partnership has reached a new level with the launch of an Airbus A320 painted in Dunkin’s signature pink and orange colors, complete with a playful donut and coffee design.
The announcement came after Dunkin’ teased the news on social media with a blurred image of the plane, joking that “America doesn’t just RUN on Dunkin’.” The official reveal took place at an event in Boston, the hometown of both brands, where they shared the exciting news.
In addition to the eye-catching aircraft, the collaboration offers an exciting perk for travelers. Starting next week, JetBlue and Dunkin’ will offer special rewards to lucky flyers aboard the “Brewing Altitude” jet. Passengers flying on Mondays between May 19 and September 1 will be eligible for the Monday Pick-Me-Up promotion.
TrueBlue members flying on the Brewing Altitude jet will earn Mosaic 1 status, while Dunkin’ Rewards® members will receive Boosted status for three months. Additional benefits include bonus tiles for Mosaic members and double points for Boosted Status members on qualifying purchases.
Dunkin’ president Scott Murphy emphasized that the partnership goes beyond just coffee in the sky, stating, “It’s about two beloved brands coming together through a shared passion for meeting people where they are and fueling them on their journey.”
Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, added, “We’re proud to showcase this partnership with a livery that’s as fun and bold as the brands behind it.”
However, there are some limitations to the promotion, including blackout dates. The Brewing Altitude aircraft will be unavailable for the Monday Pick-Me-Up promotion on June 30 and July 7 due to routine maintenance.
The Dunkin’-branded JetBlue plane is set to take off soon, offering a new way for fans to enjoy their favorite coffee while soaring at 35,000 feet.
