NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vietti Food Group has issued a voluntary recall of more than 4,500 cases of its Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans after discovering the product contains undeclared soy.
The recall is being conducted to protect people who have a soy allergy or sensitivity. Consuming the affected beans could cause serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled beans are sold in 15-ounce cans. They were distributed to retailers in 23 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia, among others.
Consumers can identify the recalled product by checking the bottom of the can for the lot code: Best if Used By Feb 17, 2028.
So far, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.
Customers who have the recalled product are advised to return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund or dispose of it safely.
