Dairy Queen has announced the release date for its new limited-edition Blizzard flavor inspired by the upcoming Superman film. The new treat, called the Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard, will be available starting Monday, May 26, 2025, at participating locations, though some stores may offer it earlier.
This Blizzard features a blend of Dairy Queen’s famous soft serve mixed with sugar cookie dough, cake batter flavor, and colorful sprinkles. The company describes it as a “riveting combination” that promises to delight fans from the first bite to the last. Early reactions from food influencers have been positive, with many calling it “scrumptious” and appealing.
Alongside the new Blizzard, Dairy Queen is introducing a Buffalo Sauced & Tossed Chicken Strip Basket. This meal includes four crispy, seasoned all-white meat chicken strips tossed in a spicy and tangy buffalo sauce, served with fries, Texas toast, and a choice of dipping sauce.
Starting June 23, Dairy Queen will also offer a $7 Cheeseburger Meal Deal at participating restaurants. This deal includes a cheeseburger, fries, a drink, and a sundae, with an option to upgrade the sundae to a Blizzard for an additional $2.
These new menu items are part of Dairy Queen’s 2025 summer offerings, designed to bring fans “two summer superheroes” in flavor and fun. The chain has yet to announce plans for additional Blizzard flavors later in the season.
