Colorful collaboration brings nostalgic crayon shades to life as soda flavors.
Jones Soda is partnering with Crayola for a surprising and nostalgic release: a limited-edition line of sodas inspired by classic Crayola crayon colors. The announcement has generated excitement among fans of both brands.
As detailed in a recent press release, the collaboration features six retired crayon colors that are being brought back for a limited time — both as soda flavors and in crayon form. The featured crayon shades and their matching soda flavors include:
- Blizzard Blue – Berry Lemonade
- Dandelion – Pineapple Cream
- Magic Mint – Green Apple
- Violet Blue – Grape
- Mulberry – Strawberry Lime
- Orange Red – Orange & Cream
Each 12-pack of soda will include two of each flavor. Buyers will also receive a bonus pack of Crayola crayons featuring the six reissued shades, plus two additional classics: Raw Umber and Lemon Yellow.
The news was shared widely on social media, including by food influencer Markie_Devo, whose post drew excited responses from fans.
“I needed it in my life,” one user commented. Another added, “WOAH, classroom fridge is about to look amazing.” A third wrote, “I need to get two boxes — one to review and one for my classroom because I’m an art teacher.”
The special soda and crayon combo is expected to hit shelves in time for back-to-school season, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
