How to Make Duck Pancakes: A Detailed Guide

Duck pancakes are a delicious and popular dish, often associated with Chinese cuisine. This dish combines the savory richness of duck with thin, soft pancakes and a variety of fresh toppings. The result is a flavorful, satisfying meal that’s perfect for sharing with friends and family. The duck needs to be cooked slowly to ensure it’s tender and flavorful. Here’s how to prepare it:

Step 1: Prepare the Duck

Start by removing any excess fat and the giblets from the duck. You can reserve the giblets for making stock if desired. Rinse the duck under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

Rub the duck inside and out with salt, pepper, and five-spice powder. Insert the ginger slices and a few sprigs of green onions into the cavity of the duck. These aromatics will infuse the meat with additional flavor as it cooks.
