Papa John’s has introduced a new menu item that is causing quite a stir: the world’s first Croissant Pizza. The innovative creation combines the flaky, buttery texture of a croissant with the bold flavors of a traditional Papa John’s pizza.
While croissant-inspired food mashups aren’t new—such as the popular “cronut” and “crookie”—this is the first time croissants have been paired with pizza. Chris Lyn-Sue, SVP and Managing Director of International at Papa John’s, explained the brand’s approach in a statement. “As a brand built on innovation, distinction, and quality, we are always inspired by global food trends. The rise of croissant mashups presented an exciting opportunity to create something unique in the pizza category,” Lyn-Sue said. “After a year in development, we’re thrilled to offer this fresh, craveable product to our customers.”
However, the Croissant Pizza will not be available in the U.S. just yet. For now, it will be exclusive to select international markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Korea, China, Chile, and Peru.
Excitement is already building in the UAE, with fans eager to try the new item. A recent Instagram post from Papa John’s UAE received enthusiastic responses, including comments like “Can’t wait to try it” and “Take my money pls.”
For U.S. fans hoping to get a taste, it may be time to book a flight.
