Ice cream remains a favorite in the United States, with the average American consuming nearly four gallons each year. But one eye-catching dessert isn’t currently available within U.S. borders.
A SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired dipped cone, once offered at Dairy Queen locations in Mexico, has caught the attention of fans online. Food blogger Snackolator recently shared a photo of the vibrant treat, asking followers if they’d want it to launch in the U.S.
According to the post, the cone featured a bright blue bubble gum shell. A similar pink version was previously available in Canada.
The social media post quickly attracted attention from Dairy Queen fans. One user commented, “When will it be available to the USA? It looks delicious!” Others echoed the sentiment, with remarks like, “Happy for them! But we want it in the US too!”
Some showed curiosity despite hesitations about the flavor. “I don’t like bubble gum flavored things but that does look good,” one commenter admitted. Another added, “I’m interested. I’d try it if it were here.”
One fan even shared their experience with the Mexican version. “When we had it in Mexico I tried it and it was fine. Definitely a different flavor than usual, but I’d love if they brought it back,” they wrote.
As of now, Dairy Queen has not announced any plans to bring the colorful cone to U.S. locations.
