RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has undertaken a significant humanitarian initiative by distributing essential aid, encompassing food provisions and shelter packages, to affected communities in Pakistan and Yemen.
In a recent endeavor, KSrelief extended a lifeline to the flood-affected Balochistan province in Pakistan. In Washuk town, a total of 818 shelter packages were generously allocated to benefit 5,726 residents, while in the Sohbatpur district, 965 food parcels were efficiently distributed. These relief efforts form an integral component of the second phase of a comprehensive food security project in Pakistan, designed to address the pressing needs of vulnerable communities during the 2023-2024 period.
Turning to Yemen, the aid agency displayed its unwavering commitment to the welfare of distressed communities. In the wake of Cyclone Tej wreaking havoc in the Al-Mahrah governorate, KSrelief promptly responded by delivering shelter and food packages to affected families. This essential aid included vital provisions such as nourishing food items, blankets, mattresses, and other indispensable household necessities.
The timely and strategic intervention of KSrelief showcases the kingdom’s ongoing dedication to extending humanitarian support to nations in times of need. These efforts not only alleviate the immediate suffering of affected populations but also represent a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to international humanitarian assistance.
