McCormick, the well-known spice and seasoning company, is turning up the heat in kitchens with the release of two new crushed pepper varieties.
The company has added Crushed Hatch Chile Pepper and Crushed Thai Style Chili Pepper to its lineup. These new products follow the success of McCormick’s Crushed Jalapeño Pepper, which launched last year.
“McCormick Crushed Red Pepper is a staple product in many households,” the company said in a statement. “These two new products will add to the brand’s growing list of spicy options.”
The brand also shared suggestions on how to use the new spices. For the Thai Style Crushed Chili Pepper, McCormick recommends adding it to soups, sauces, curries, noodles, and stir-fries for an extra kick. For the Crushed Hatch Chile Pepper, the company suggests mixing it into sauces, vinaigrettes, and marinades, or using it in egg dishes like frittatas and quiches.
Among McCormick’s four crushed pepper options, Hatch Chile is the mildest. It is followed by Jalapeño, then the more familiar Crushed Red Pepper. Thai Style Chili Pepper brings the most intense heat.
The two new crushed pepper products are available now on McCormick’s website, on Amazon, and at grocery stores across the United States.
