  • 2 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
  7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  9. Let the cookies cool and then decorate with icing, sprinkles, or edible glitter!

2. Red Velvet Cupcakes

Red velvet cupcakes are a classic Valentine’s Day treat. With their rich red color, soft texture, and a subtle chocolate flavor, they are a showstopper for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the cupcake liners.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.
  8. Decorate with heart-shaped sprinkles for an extra festive touch!

3. Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate-dipped strawberries are an elegant and easy treat to make for Valentine’s Day. They combine fresh, juicy strawberries with rich, melted chocolate, creating the perfect combination of flavors.
