Australia Leads FHA-F&B 2025 with Largest-Ever Presence

Singapore – Food & Hotel Asia-Food & Beverage (FHA-F&B), Asia’s premier international event for the food and beverage industry, is set to return from April 8-11, 2025, at the Singapore EXPO. The event will once again serve as the ultimate hub for F&B professionals, drawing over 65,000 attendees from more than 90 countries. With 1,500 exhibitors and 80 group pavilions from over 50 countries and regions, FHA-F&B promises to be the region’s leading platform for business and innovation in the food and beverage sector.

Among the 1,500 exhibitors, over 35% will be new participants, contributing to a diverse and dynamic showcase of the latest trends and innovations in the industry. The Singapore Pavilion will feature more than 80 local companies, including exclusive exhibitors like Toh Thye San and Lim Joo Huat, highlighting the country’s culinary heritage while emphasizing sustainability and food innovation.

Australia’s Largest-Ever Global Trade Show Presence

In a notable development, Australia will serve as the Partner Country for FHA-F&B 2025, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between Australia and Singapore, which celebrates 60 years of diplomatic ties this year. Australia’s participation will spotlight its rich culinary culture, innovative food trends, and vibrant brewing industry.

Chris Morley, Trade and Investment Commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), commented, “FHA-Food & Beverage is the region’s leading food and beverage trade show, and it is important that Australian businesses are empowered to expand their presence at FHA. Our participation in this landmark year underlines the strength of our relationship with Singapore and our commitment to the broader Southeast Asian region.”

EU Pavilion Showcases High-Quality European Products

The European Union will also be well-represented at the event, with the EU Pavilion featuring a selection of premium food and beverages from all 27 EU Member States. Iwona Piórko, the European Union Ambassador to Singapore, expressed excitement about the pavilion’s presence, stating, “The EU Pavilion reflects our commitment to delivering authentic, high-quality, and sustainable agri-food products. This event is an excellent opportunity to strengthen EU-Singapore trade ties and foster new collaborations within the food and beverage sector.”

Emerging Beverage Trends and New Competitions

As health-conscious consumption trends continue to grow, especially in Asian markets, non-alcoholic beverages are gaining popularity. Japan, for example, is projected to consume 621 million liters of non-alcoholic drinks by 2027, while China’s market is expected to nearly double by 2028. In Singapore, sales of non-alcoholic beverages surged by 33.2% across all demographics in 2023.

In response to this growing trend, FHA-F&B 2025 will introduce a new Beverage Zone, offering a comprehensive look at the latest trends and innovations in the sector. The event will also feature exciting competitions like the “Zero Mixology Challenge” and the “National Cocktail Challenge,” which will promote product innovation and address emerging consumer preferences.

FHA Culinary Competitions and Expert Panels

The event will also introduce new formats for its culinary competitions, including the Individual Challenge Culinary and Individual Challenge Patisserie segments. These competitions will be judged by an esteemed panel of international chefs, led by Chief Judge Otto Weibel from Singapore, and supported by chefs from around the world, including Rudolf Muller, Frank Wedmann, Sven Erik Renaa, and others.

The competitions promise to bring fresh perspectives to the F&B industry, with renowned chefs showcasing their culinary expertise and creativity.

Exploring the Future of F&B

FHA-F&B 2025 will also offer attendees exclusive insights into the future of food through two specialized seminars: the FHA Seminar and the Sustainable Food Future Seminar. The FHA Seminar will explore the latest trends, regulations, and innovations shaping the food industry, while the Sustainable Food Future Seminar will address critical topics such as food security, sustainable packaging, and alternative proteins.

A Global Business Hub

Ian Roberts, Vice President of Informa Markets Asia, highlighted the event’s importance as a global business hub, stating, “Over the years, FHA has transformed into the leading platform for the food industry, positioning Singapore as a dynamic culinary crossroads where global flavors meet innovation. With the event now in its 47th year, FHA remains a must-attend business event, providing unparalleled opportunities for global suppliers to connect with buyers across Asia and beyond.”

As the food and beverage industry continues to evolve, FHA-F&B 2025 promises to be an unmissable event for anyone looking to stay ahead of market trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities in Asia and beyond.
