Sprite is making waves with the launch of a bold new flavor just in time for summer: Sprite + Tea. After months of speculation and viral buzz online, the soda brand officially confirmed the release on Monday.
The limited-edition beverage combines Sprite’s signature lemon-lime taste with a subtle infusion of tea. According to the company, the new flavor offers “the iconic cut-through lemon-lime refreshment of Sprite with the familiar aroma and flavor of tea.”
Early tasters, including editors at Parade, describe the drink as light and balanced, with the tea notes present but not overpowering. One comparison likened it to a sparkling version of Fuze tea, maintaining the soda’s refreshing qualities while adding a new twist.
Both regular and Zero Sugar versions of Sprite + Tea are being released. They’ll be available in 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce cans at retailers nationwide. So far, listings have appeared on Walmart, Target, and Amazon, and shoppers have reported seeing the product at Kroger and Stop & Shop.
With summer approaching, Sprite + Tea is poised to become a go-to drink for picnics, road trips, and barbecues. Fans looking to try the new flavor should act fast—this seasonal release won’t be around forever.
