HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. — Buc-ee’s, the Texas-based travel center chain known for its massive stores and exceptionally clean restrooms, is continuing its national expansion with three major openings set for this summer.
The company, a favorite among road trippers for its large format stores and unique offerings, is bringing its signature experience to new locations in Mississippi, Virginia, and Georgia. These sites mark another step in Buc-ee’s growth outside its home state, where it built a loyal following.
The first of the new stores will open in Harrison County, Mississippi, on June 9. The travel center will span 74,000 square feet, feature 100 gas pumps, and create approximately 200 new jobs along Interstate 10 on the Gulf Coast.
Later in the month, Virginia will get its first Buc-ee’s on June 30, located in Rockingham County off Interstate 81 in the Shenandoah Valley. Like the Mississippi site, this location will also cover 74,000 square feet, but will include 120 fueling stations. It will be the northeasternmost Buc-ee’s yet, introducing Virginians to the brand’s famous snacks and spotless restrooms.
On July 1, Brunswick, Georgia, will open the state’s third Buc-ee’s. The store, located near Interstate 95, is expected to serve heavy traffic to and from Florida and Georgia’s Golden Isles.
Buc-ee’s is known for more than its size and clean bathrooms. Customers flock to the stores for fresh Texas-style barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, and the popular Beaver Nuggets—sweet, caramel-coated corn puffs. The stores also offer a wide range of branded merchandise and an in-store shopping experience that resembles a small department store.
Since 2019, Buc-ee’s has expanded beyond Texas into Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Colorado. More locations are planned for states including Ohio, Arizona, and North Carolina.
As the summer travel season begins, Buc-ee’s is ready to welcome new fans in Mississippi, Virginia, and Georgia—offering a unique rest stop experience with food, fuel, and famously clean facilities.
