A new flavor collaboration is bringing a sour twist to summer. Sprite and Sour Patch Kids have joined forces to launch a limited-time lineup of drinks available only at Jack in the Box.
The special menu, built around the popular Sour Patch Kids Watermelon flavor, includes four new items: a “Twisted” dirty soda made with Sprite, a milkshake, a lemonade, and a slushie offered in select cities. The drinks will be available starting around Thursday, May 29, though some locations are already offering them early. The promotion will last through the summer or while supplies last.
According to Jack in the Box, the Twisted Soda blends bubbly lemon-lime Sprite with Sour Patch Kids Watermelon flavor and is topped with whipped cream. The Sour Patch Kids Watermelon Shake features a vanilla frozen dairy base swirled with the same tangy flavor. The lemonade, the simplest of the bunch, gets a tart upgrade with the candy’s signature sour-sweet taste, promising to deliver the “ultimate pucker upper.”
For fans in Austin, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City, an exclusive Watermelon Slushie will also be on the menu, offering a frozen take on the sour-then-sweet experience.
Food blogger Snackolator first teased the collaboration, and a Jack in the Box spokesperson later confirmed the news: “The rumors are true!”
The announcement has already sparked excitement on social media. “Food comes second. I’m going for the drinks!” one fan wrote. “I want to try all of them!” added another. Jack in the Box even joked on its official account, “Really outdid myself with this one.”
The limited-time drink menu is expected to be a hit among fans of both the soda and the candy—especially with summer heat right around the corner.
