Smucker’s is introducing a new flavor to its popular Goober line, and fans are buzzing with excitement.
The brand revealed the Goober Honey flavor on social media, adding to its long-standing reputation for creating fun, flavorful spreads. The original Goober, first launched in 1968, became a household favorite with its signature blend of creamy peanut butter and either grape or strawberry jelly. Now, the company is expanding the lineup with the sweet and creamy Goober Honey variety.
Although Smucker’s spokesperson did not respond to inquiries, the product was described on the brand’s official website as “the ultimate combo made with creamy peanut butter and a sweet honey spread.”
The new flavor is suggested for use on sandwiches, crackers, and oatmeal, with Smucker’s encouraging families to explore endless possibilities with the product.
Reactions from fans have been overwhelmingly positive. One commenter shared, “Wow, you’d think this would’ve been out ages ago! But noted!” Another fan wrote, “I love the Goober! That sounds delicious!!” Others expressed similar enthusiasm, with one user saying, “I’m definitely in – my fave PB sandwiches are PB and honey,” while another simply declared, “I’m going to actually need this like immediately!!”
Despite being listed as unavailable by one global wholesale vendor, influencers predict that Goober Honey will hit stores soon, especially in locations that already carry other Goober varieties like strawberry and grape.
Smucker’s Goober Honey will be available in an 18-ounce glass jar with a vibrant yellow and orange striped lid. The product is expected to reach shelves by August, just in time for the back-to-school season.
This new release follows Smucker’s recent launch of two fruit-flavored candies, marking another step in the brand’s ongoing expansion of beloved pantry staples.
