Wendy’s, the popular fast-food chain, is making waves beyond its restaurants. After recent updates like new Frosty flavors and kid meals, the brand is now expanding into grocery stores.
Foodie Markie Devo shared on Instagram that Wendy’s famous double-smoked bacon has been spotted at a Kroger store in Kentucky. While it is unclear if this product will be available nationwide, fans are already excited about the news.
“Time to build it at home!” one user commented. Another added, “Wendy’s bacon is always.”
However, not everyone is convinced. Some customers question the need for Wendy’s bacon in stores. One skeptical fan asked, “What’s the difference between regular bacon and Wendy’s bacon?” Another joked, “Why? What’s gonna be different from the bacon that’s already on the market? Besides double-smoked. What next? Frosty bacon?!”
This is not Wendy’s first move into grocery aisles. Their popular chili is already sold nationwide in stores. Additionally, Wendy’s fresh, never frozen beef patties have been available in supermarkets across the country. These products have received positive feedback from fans.
“Would be interested in trying these,” one fan wrote. Another said, “Omg I hope all stores carry these!”
With bacon, patties, and chili now in stores, many fans are hoping Wendy’s will also release their chicken nuggets for retail. “I’d love to see their nuggets in stores, that is, of course, if they actually taste like them lol,” one fan commented.
As Wendy’s continues to expand its grocery offerings, fans are eager for more. It seems the fast-food chain is successfully bringing its restaurant favorites to the home kitchen.
