Edwards Dessert Kitchen, a popular North Loop spot known for its made-from-scratch desserts, small bites, and cocktails, will close at the end of the month after seven years in business.
The Schwan’s Company-owned restaurant announced the news on social media, stating its final day of service will be Saturday, June 29.
“We’re grateful for the incredible support of the community, and we’ve enjoyed bringing you delicious creations and quality service over the years,” the announcement said.
The restaurant did not provide a reason for the closure.
Executive Chef and General Manager Jasmine Weiser Kaysen has led Edwards Dessert Kitchen since it opened, working alongside head chef Carmen Steinke.
In a personal Instagram post, Weiser Kaysen called her time at the restaurant “one of the most meaningful chapters” of her life.
“This place has brought me unforgettable experiences: I met my husband here, made life-long friends, and learned more than I ever imagined,” she wrote. “I’m proud of what we built and grateful for everyone who was there with me along the way. While I’m sad to see this chapter end, I’m also looking ahead with hope and excitement for whatever comes next.”
Edwards Dessert Kitchen is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, until its closing date.
