To celebrate the start of summer, Ohio-based grocery retailer Kroger has introduced a limited-time ice cream collection called Summer in a Pint. This new lineup features four flavors inspired by sunny coastal vibes.
The collection includes:
Italian Style Summer Fizz: Blood orange sherbet with candy clusters
Fireside Nights: Toasted marshmallow ice cream with s’mores bits and an orange swirl
Sandy Shores: Coconut ice cream with sweet and salty pretzel crunch
Poolside Tan Lines: A blend of vanilla bean, chocolate, and coffee ice creams
These flavors are available now at participating Kroger Family of Stores, while supplies last.
In addition to the new flavors, Kroger is offering a special summer promotion. Starting June 20 at noon Eastern Time, customers can claim digital coupons for 92,000 free pints of Kroger Brand ice cream—equivalent to 1,000 free pints for each of the 92 days of summer. The offer runs through July 4.
Kroger’s group vice president of center store merchandising said, “Last year, we were blown away by customer excitement for our free pint offer and this summer we are making it even sweeter. Kroger is giving away 92,000 free pints of ice cream so more customers can celebrate the start of summer with a taste of our new flavors.”
Customers can download single-use digital coupons from Kroger’s website. The coupons apply to the new Summer in a Pint flavors as well as classic Kroger ice cream varieties like Deluxe Orange Cream, Deluxe Rocky Road, and Deluxe Cookies and Cream, typically priced at $2.99 for a 48-ounce tub.
The free ice cream offer is valid nationwide except in California, Colorado, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Nevada. It is also not available at Metro Market, Pick ’n Save, Mariano’s, and QFC stores.
With refreshing new flavors and a generous giveaway, Kroger is making summer sweeter for ice cream lovers across much of the U.S.
