The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery has launched a first-of-its-kind whisky and dessert pairing experience in collaboration with renowned pâtissier Nicolas Rouzaud, known for his refined desserts at The Connaught in London.
Now open for bookings, The Singleton of Glen Ord Collection x Nicolas Rouzaud offers guests a carefully curated tasting that blends the rich complexity of single malt Scotch with the artistry of fine patisserie. The centrepiece of the experience is a specially crafted dessert, designed to be enjoyed in three layers—each one paired with a distinct expression from The Singleton whisky range.
The dessert complements:
- The Singleton of Glen Ord 12-Year-Old
- The Singleton of Glen Ord 18-Year-Old
- The Singleton of Dufftown 21-Year-Old
“This collaboration has been incredible,” said Leigh Aitken, Brand Home Manager at The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery. “Nicolas’s precision and creativity mirror the care and craftsmanship our whisky makers put into every bottle. His ability to immerse himself in our world has resulted in a dessert that truly reflects the spirit of The Singleton.”
Aitken added that this marks an exciting summer for the distillery, with new offerings that include live local music through its monthly Singleton Sessions, curated platters of regional produce, a vibrant cocktail and non-alcoholic menu, and more unique partnerships yet to be announced.
Creating a dessert tailored to match the flavor profiles of three different whiskies posed a unique challenge for Rouzaud. Drawing inspiration from childhood memories of eating pain au chocolat, he crafted the dessert to unfold in stages—crunchy, soft, and rich—to mirror the evolving textures and notes in each whisky.
“I was deeply inspired by the Singleton team’s dedication to excellence and innovation,” Rouzaud said. “Our shared values of precision, creativity, and respect for tradition made this a natural collaboration. This experience is a sensory journey that highlights the beauty of both whisky and patisserie.”
The Singleton and Nicolas Rouzaud pairing experience is now available at The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery, offering whisky lovers and food enthusiasts a rare taste of culinary craftsmanship and Scotch heritage.
