Dr Pepper is bringing back one of its most popular limited-edition flavors — Vanilla Float — just in time for summer 2025.
The flavor blends Dr Pepper’s classic mix of 23 ingredients with a smooth vanilla taste, offering a nostalgic nod to traditional ice cream floats. First launched in 2014, Vanilla Float quickly became a fan favorite and has returned several times over the years due to popular demand.
The return was confirmed by snack blog Mouth Attack in an Instagram post on May 26. “Dr Pepper has brought back its fan-favorite Vanilla Float flavor for a limited time in summer 2025,” the post read.
The seasonal drink will be available in 12-ounce cans at select retailers across the United States. Due to its limited-edition status, availability may vary by location. Shoppers are encouraged to check with local stores or online platforms to find it.
Fans expressed excitement online, with one Instagram user commenting, “Thank God,” while another joked, “Idk might start drinking sugary drinks again cause of this.”
Although there has been no official nationwide release announcement from Dr Pepper, the brand has a history of reintroducing popular flavors. Vanilla Float previously returned in 2017 and in several limited runs afterward.
The comeback follows Dr Pepper’s recent launch of other seasonal flavors, including the Creamy Coconut, which is also expected to hit shelves again this summer.
With Vanilla Float’s return, Dr Pepper continues to expand its lineup of creative and nostalgic offerings, aiming to appeal to both loyal fans and new customers.
