Chipotle is launching a new dip in its U.S. and Canada locations this month.
This marks the first new dip introduction in five years. The new Adobo Ranch dip is described as smoky and spicy. It is made fresh in Chipotle restaurants without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Starting June 17, customers can add Adobo Ranch as a side to enhance their burritos, bowls, salads, tacos, or quesadillas. This follows the company’s last dip release in 2020, which was Queso Blanco.
Chipotle’s version of ranch features adobo pepper, sour cream, and a special blend of herbs and spices. The company says it offers a “craveable kick” to any dish.
Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer, expressed optimism about the new dip appealing to Gen Z. Recently, this generation ranked Chipotle among their top three fast food chains, alongside McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A.
“Ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who enjoy it beyond traditional uses like salads,” Brandt said. “Our new Adobo Ranch gives fans a craveworthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a fresh flavor.”
Nevielle Panthaky, Chipotle’s vice president of culinary, suggested trying the dip with quesadillas or the brand’s salt-and-lime-seasoned tortilla chips.
The Adobo Ranch dip will be available nationwide in the U.S. and Canada starting Tuesday, June 17. Chipotle Rewards members can sample it for free on launch day.
