Shake Shack is expanding its snack offerings with the debut of a new side item: Fried Pickles. The crispy addition is now available nationwide for a limited time, though the chain has not confirmed whether it will become a permanent menu fixture.
The burger brand first hinted at the release on social media, sharing a playful, now-deleted Instagram Story that featured a mock letter addressed to its famous crinkle-cut fries. The tease promised something new was coming soon.
On Tuesday, Shake Shack officially announced the launch. The Fried Pickles are made from thick-cut dill pickles, lightly battered and fried to a golden crisp. They’re served with a side of creamy Buttermilk Ranch and are designed to pair well with menu staples like burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, nuggets, or fries.
The new side is priced at $3.99, though prices may vary by location, and will only be available while supplies last.
In addition to the Fried Pickles, Shake Shack is bringing back a crowd-favorite milkshake for a limited time. The chain’s summer BBQ menu has also returned, featuring items such as the Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles, Smoky Carolina BBQ Chicken, and Spicy Fries with Ranch, which can be upgraded with cheese sauce.
These seasonal offerings are part of Shake Shack’s ongoing effort to keep menus fresh and exciting for fans looking for bold flavors and new combinations.
