Krispy Kreme is giving fans something sweet to celebrate—the return of its Strawberry Glazed doughnut, but only for a limited time.
In an official press release on Tuesday, May 20, the doughnut chain confirmed the revival of the popular flavor. The Strawberry Original Glazed will be available for just one weekend, from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1.
The comeback is part of Krispy Kreme’s new collaboration with PAC-MAN, marking the iconic video game’s 45th anniversary. The company noted that a recent giveaway—where 45,000 Original Glazed Doughnuts were handed out—helped “unlock” the return of the strawberry-flavored treat. The doughnut hasn’t appeared on menus since August 2023, when it made a brief, limited-time run.
The special edition features the brand’s classic Original Glazed doughnut, coated in a vibrant pink strawberry glaze with a sweet berry flavor.
Fans quickly took to social media to celebrate. Snack blogger Markie Devo posted about the announcement on Instagram, calling the return “Strawberry goodness unlocked!!” The post sparked a wave of excitement from followers.
“Can’t wait,” one fan commented, while another urged Krispy Kreme to keep the flavor around permanently. “Please Krispy Kreme make these permanent,” echoed another user.
The Strawberry Glazed doughnut will be available at participating Krispy Kreme shops while supplies last. For many, it’s a short window of opportunity to enjoy a fan-favorite flavor that’s become a seasonal obsession.
