Camerican International, based in Paramus, New Jersey, has issued a recall for 7.05-ounce boxes of Aldi-brand Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream due to the presence of undeclared milk. The recall affects consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities, as the product could cause serious or potentially life-threatening reactions.
The affected products were distributed to select Aldi stores in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Customers are advised to check the product’s packaging. The recalled churro bites come in 7.05-ounce cardboard boxes labeled with a “Best If Used By” date of JUL/14/2025 and Lot Number 01425.
According to the recall notice, the issue was discovered after a customer reported that the product contained milk, which was not listed on the packaging. A company investigation traced the problem to a temporary breakdown in the production and packaging process. Camerican International has since corrected the issue.
No illnesses have been reported at this time. Consumers who purchased the affected product should return it to the store for a full refund.
